WHO WE ARE

Established in 2020, Pathways To Excellence, Incorporated (Pathways2X) is a Maryland based nonprofit (501c3) with a mission to provide charitable and educational programming and resources to advance educational, professional and developmental opportunities among under-represented populations. Pathways To Excellence, Incorporated is led by a dedicated team of professionals who represent the core of our mission. Collectively, the leadership team’s professional experience includes post-secondary classroom education, college and career planning, human resources management, labor relations, computer science, project management, and information technology.

OUR PROGRAMS

Workforce Development

Through its Maryland Career Pathways programming, Pathways To Excellence, Inc. offers robust, quality services and activities to aid jobseekers and career changers. Programming includes Virtual Maryland Career Pathways Summit and Expo, Workforce Wednesdays, live workshops, and certification training for in-demand careers.

Women’s Career, Business, and Leadership Programs

With support of partnering organizations, Pathways to Excellence offers an annual symposium, and semi-annual virtual summits to address timely issues related to career change, career advancement, and entrepreneurship.

In 2023, Pathways To Excellence piloted a 6-Week Women’s Business Plan Accelerator program for aspiring entrepreneurs in Montgomery County, MD.

Youth College Readiness and Career Exploration

From 2020 through 2023, Pathways to Excellence offered the year-round HBCU Pathways Program, which focused on college readiness, career exploration, and cultural awareness. This program included monthly career development workshops, virtual summits, and a summer reading club.

Beginning in 2023, Pathways To Excellence shifted its youth programming toward workforce development, with targeting services supporting college readiness and career exploration. Pathways To Excellence partners with Maryland-based high schools to provide career planning assessments and resources, deliver career-related workshops and demonstrations, and to support college tours and internship placement.

Community & Economic Development

Programs that help under-represented populations gain financial knowledge, independence, and increased opportunities to break through barriers.

Regardless of age, socioeconomic background, or any other perceived “limitation,” we believe that with proper planning, we can all achieve. We host and support programs that incorporate individual planning that lead to actionable results.
