NeuroPathways - Career Development for Sports and Fitness Professionals
Montgomery County is known for its strong presence in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Careers in healthcare, including positions for sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, may experience growth. Additionally, Montgomery County is home to various educational and research institutions. Positions related to sports psychology, research on brain health, and sports science are available in universities and research organizations.
Certification in Brain Health

Program Overview
Recognizing the potential career opportunities that can result from brain health certification, Pathways To Excellence is pleased to offer a new, holistic program carving career pathways for sports and fitness professionals who are interested in working with athlete brain health, sports concussion management and neurocognitive training. Specifically designed for speech-language pathologists, allied health professionals, and individuals working in sports and/or fitness industries, this transformative program includes educational workshops, an in-person summit and expo (CEUs), immersive training, job shadowing, and online career readiness courses.
Upon completion each participant will receive a training certification from Head to Speech, Inc. for continuing education and professional development hours.

In follow up to the virtual session addressing careers in brain health, and the in-person brain health summit and expo held on March 16 and 17, 2024 with Pathways To Excellence partner – Head to Speech – we are pleased to make summit recordings available to interested speech pathologists through the end of April 24. Individuals may complete up to 24 hours of continuing education and professional development, for up to 2.4 hours of ASHA CEUS.
