Early-Stage Entrepreneurship Accelerator for Women
Program Overview
As a component of its Maryland Career Pathways Program, Pathways To Excellence, Inc. piloted the Early-Stage Entrepreneurship Accelerator for Women in 2023. Within funding provided by the Workforce Recovery Network, this program provides options for women and families in Montgomery County, MD who are interested in self-employment.
This business accelerator program is designed by women, for women, and specifically tailored to the needs of first-time entrepreneurs.
The program includes:
- 6+hrs On-demand business planning course content
- 6 weekly Virtual ASKME sessions with a business planning expert
- Business plan review and feedback
- 30-minute business plan debrief with a certified coach
- Networking within a supportive community
- Bonuses for women who complete the program!
About Us
Established in 2020, Pathways To Excellence, Incorporated (Pathways2X) is a Maryland based nonprofit (501c3) with a mission to provide charitable and educational programming and resources to advance educational, professional and developmental opportunities among under-represented populations.
Pathways To Excellence is proud to be a Community Workforce Network partner with Worksource Montgomery and to introduce entrepreneurship as a means to meaningful work for women.
Program Details
The program includes on-demand course content and resources, live hybrid (virtual) ASKME sessions, business plan development, review, and feedback, and a business plan debrief with a certified coach.

Program Requirements
- Participants must identify as women
- Participants should be first-time a entrepreneur
- Participants must commit to participating in weekly sessions
- Participants must complete and submit the registration form
- Montgomery County, MD Residents must complete the Community Workforce Network form https://form.jotform.com/Pathways2x/CWN
- To be eligible for bonuses, participants must complete the program and be current Montgomery County residents
